Stuff you get over the internet.

Really lazy this week, I worked I ate and I slept, so instead of boring you with my week I thought I would do something different and print a couple of e-mails that I received this week from solicited or unsolicited sources. Perhaps you received the same ones, perhaps not. It’s interesting to see what info people put out there in cyber space and also try and influence your thoughts as to what is right or wrong regards the world , the media, etc etc.
This was the first one:
You're a 19 year old kid.

You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle somewhere in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam .. It's November 11, 1967.
LZ (landing zone) X-ray.

Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense from 100 yards away, that your CO (commanding officer) has ordered the helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day. Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter.
You look up to see a Huey coming in. But.. It doesn't seem real because no MedEvac markings are on it. Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you.

He's not MedEvac so it's not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway. Even after the MedEvacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway. And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety.

And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!! Until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm. He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey. Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United States Air Force, died last Wednesday at the age of 70, in Boise, Idaho.May God Bless and Rest His Soul.

I bet you didn't hear about this hero's passing, but we've sure heard a whole bunch about Whitney Houston, Lindsay Lohan, Dr. Murray, that sicko Sandusky, and a 72- day sham marriage. Shame on the media !!!
Next one was this:
This was a reply to an article, in the Mercury , where the previously disadvantaged (Blacks) stated that it's not too late for the
previously advantaged (including whites, Indians and Coloureds) to apologize for apartheid. Check out the reply. Just  so true.
The main headline stated the following:

It's not too late for whites to say sorry for Apartheid

Check the email that went around responding to the headline. It's a kick ass response.
The guy that wrote it has got it !!!

 'To the Previously Disadvantaged'

We are sorry that our ancestors were intelligent, advanced and
daring enough to explore the wild oceans to discover new countries
 and develop them.

We are sorry that those who came before us took you out of the
bush and taught you that there was more to life than beating drums,
killing each other and chasing animals with sticks and stones.

We are sorry that they planned, funded and developed roads,
towns, mines, factories, airports and harbours, all of which you now
claim to be your long deprived inheritance giving you every right to
change and rename these at your discretion.

We are sorry that our parents taught us the value of small but
strong families, to not breed like rabbits and end up as underfed,
diseased, illiterate shack dwellers living in poverty.

We are sorry that when the evil apartheid government provided
you with schools, you decided they'd look better without windows
 or in piles of ashes.

We happily gave up those bad days of getting spanked in our all
white Schools for doing something wrong, and much prefer these
days of freedom where problems can be resolved with knives and guns.

We are sorry that it is hard to shake off the bitterness of the
past when you keep on raping, torturing and killing our friends and
family members, and then hide behind the fence of 'human rights'
 with smiles on your faces.

We are sorry that we do not trust the government... We have no
reason to be so suspicious because none of these poor "hard working
intellectuals" have ever been involved in any form of "corruption or

We are sorry that we do not trust the police force and, even
though they have openly admitted that they have lost the war against crime
and criminals, we should not be negative and just ignore their
corruption and carry on hoping for the best.

We are sorry that it is more important to you to have players of
colour in our national teams than winning games and promoting

We know that sponsorship doesn't depend on a team's success.

We are sorry that our border posts have been flung open and now
left you competing for jobs against illegal immigrants from our
 beautiful neighbouring countries.

All of them countries that have grown into economic powerhouses
 after kicking out the 'settlers'.

We are sorry that we don't believe in witchcraft, beet root and
garlic cures, urinating on street corners, virginity testing, slaughtering
of bulls in our back yards, trading women for cattle and other
 barbaric practices.

Maybe we just grew up differently.

We are sorry that your medical care, water supplies, roads,
railways and electricity supplies are going down the toilet because
skilled people who could have planned for and resolved these issues
had to be thrown away because they were of the wrong ethnic
background and now have to work in foreign countries where their
 skills are highly appreciated.

We are so sorry that we'd like this country to fulfil its potential so
we can once again be proud South Africans.

 The Previously

PS In the old regime... we had lights and water
Last but not least we have this one
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living"

This was written by a 21 yr old female who gets it. It's her future she’s worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare system that she’s being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.

Put me in charge . . ..

Put me in charge of WINZ food grants. I'd get rid of  cash for potato chips or chocolate, just money for 50kg bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Healthcare. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing.Ever live in a military barracks?
You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

Put me in charge of compulsory job search. In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you.. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules.. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem. If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest.....You will vote for a ‘welfare’ Govt. only. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

Now, if you have the guts - PASS IT ON...
And lest we forget these gems that we all receive too many times on a daily basis.

My Dearest in Christ,

My Name Is MARIA BONGI NTULI Currently The Deputy Minister Of Social Development Of South Africa. I Have Served In Many Capacities Towards Nation Building.

You can view my profile at .click on government contact information’s, click on deputy ministry's and locate Social development and read about me. I am Married to late Mr. Zuma Ntuli and the marriage lasted for 25years with only a child .My husband died of an illness that lasted for only 6weeks.I Know my mail may come to you as a surprise, reason for we have not seen or meet before am soliciting for your help, as I am divinely directed .Before my husband’s death, we were pure born again Christians. When my husband was alive, we deposited the sum of 30.5million used in a financial institution here in my country, and the fund emanated as a result of an over invoiced contract he did with my former ministry. Though I assisted him in securing the contract, but I never knew he overinflated the contract. The government we are in under Comrade Jacob Zuma came up with a policy to review contracts awarded years ago, and he is poised to confiscating funds with irregular tender, hence my contacting you.

Recently, my doctor told me that I will not last up to 6months, because of my diagnosis of cancer .my most pressing problem is the stroke, which I am managing before this new medical case. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a church or better still, a Christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in. I want a person or church that will use this fund to churches, orphanages, research centers and widows propagating the word of God and to ensure that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that blessed is the hand that gives. I took this decision because I have a child that will inherit this money but my son cannot carry out this work only because I and my late husband decide to use some of the money to work for God and live some for our son to have a better live. Our son is just 15years old now, and is growing up in Africa, he have low maturity hence the reason for taking this bold decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace. I will like you to understand that my contact to you is a divine direction from God; As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Finance/bank .I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as the new beneficiary of this fund..

My happiness is that I live a life of a worthy Christian. Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing for a church or Christian individual for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated here and Please I will like you to contact me immediately you receive this mail so that I will instruct the inane/bank to! Transfer this fund into your account. Correspondence must be by  email to any of my private e-mail   addresses. DONT CALL MY OFFICE LINE Remain blessed in the name of the Lord.
