Well as normal SA has a
problem and the SA government as normal
decides to do something about it, this time its kids having sex, so instead of
just educating and having programmes in place to show kids that it’s not a
clever thing to be bonking each other at 12, we legislate………… they want to
arrest kids between 12-16 who are caught kissing I public, cause this causes
them to have sex, that’s like saying driving a car causes people to crash into
pedestrians.
You cannot legislate without education, especially in Africa and SA
in particular. In Europe, especially Scandinavian countries if you told them it’s
against the law to use toilets between 6 – 8 am they would not use a toilet, in
SA we would be saying what a dof rule while reading the newspaper with information about the new law while sitting on
the can…………………we have so many laws in South Africa that are not policed, that
we as citizens break on a daily basis. If you don’t have the capacity or the
will to police laws then don’t make them.
So Oscar “shoot to kill” Pistorius was in court for 15 minutes this
week to be told that he will be back in court in August. On News 24 they had
the headline that Oscar would be back in
court on the day the Reeva (that’s the lady he “mistakenly shot through a
toilet door) turned 30. So it would seem that all is well in SA since all they
could come up with for the day was that very headline……………..So Zuma is not
talking kak again or making false statements like “All south Africans life’s
have improved since the ANC took power in 1994”, The Gupta’s are cool again,
Crime in SA is on the way down, The DA have said the ANC are doing a good job,
Schools are running smoothly, Hospitals are fully staffed and actually have
sheets, ……………………Welcome to Sunny South Africa………………I can see it now Oscar is
becoming SA ‘s OJ Simpson case.
I see that Nelson Mandela is not well again (3 rd time this year)
and that foreign journalists are waiting
like Vultures for him to die so they can feed on this news event that will be
as big as any other news story that you can think of over the last 20 years. I
have a feeling that when we are in the UK that he is going to die, there are
many rumour as to what will happen when he does from all the whites will be
attacked to the world will end……………….So let’s see what happens.
In Turkey there have been running battles between citizens and the
police over the prime minister of that country trying to make it a total
Islamic country, “and they say that Islam is not a threat”…………..mmmmm I know
kak when I see it.
Erdogan (the Prime Minister) has
dismissed the protests as the work of secular enemies never reconciled to the
election success of his AK party, which has roots in Islamist parties banned in
the past but which also embraces centre - right and nationalist elements. The
party has won three straight elections and overseen an economic boom,
increasing Turkey's influence in the region. Apparently the riots are so violent even war torn Syria is advising
its citizens not to go there, “Wow” it must be bad.
My Harley arrived on Saturday, so that’s pretty cool.
We have 10 more days before we fly out to the UK, the weather this
weekend in PE has been chilly, so we have been getting some acclimatization to
what we can expect on the island.
The Springboks played Italy over the weekend in Durban, and beat
them 44/10. Samoa played Scotland at the same venue and Samoa won that game, it’s
the first time that they have beaten Scotland in a test match.
Ok well that’s it for the week
Ciao
